It’s a Proud Moment for R.C.Patel Institute of Technology Shirpur to achieve one more success at National level.
R.C.Patel Institute of Technology Shirpur, Affiliated to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere, Raigad, Maharashtra, has won the second runner up prize in AEBC (Asian Electric Bike Challenge). E-Bike team of Mechanical Engineering students Participated in Asian E-Bike Challenge event held at Vishakhapattanam, Andhrapradesh, India and Won Second runner up prize amongst 30 participated teams in the event.
The team leader of “Pegasus” Mr Pavan Kale from final year Mechanical Engineering shared his views on the Efforts taken in last Eight months by his team. E-Bike team won overall second runner up prize with the cash prize of Rs.18, 000/-.
Talking about the technical specifications of the Bike and competitions, he says “It is a Lightest E-bike in its class, the E-Bike weights around 87kg with both wheels having Disc brake, and we used the material AISI-4130 and motor with 1kw bldc motor. The Bike can gain the top speed of 50- 60kmph. The charging time required is 6 hrs. In one charge it can travel up to 110km. This winning team Pegasus comprises Pavan Kale, Vaibhav Ahire, Dhiraj Chaudhari, Nilesh Patil, Wasim Patel, Sanket Zope, Pratik Khairnar and other 17 members. All of them took extensive efforts apart from the curriculum to learn the E-Bike concepts under the persistent guidance and encouragement from Head of Department Prof. P. L. Sarode and Prof. Pandit S Patil.
