Parents' Meet Data Science and AIML 2024-25

A parents' meeting was recently organized by the Data Science and AIML Department of R.C. Patel Autonomous Engineering College, Shirpur, which received an enthusiastic response from the parents. During the event, Dr. P.J. Deore, the Deputy Director of the college, guided the parents about the care and awareness required in today’s changing times regarding their children. He emphasized that, along with teachers, parents play a crucial role in students' academic journey. Dr. Ujwala Patil, the Head of the Department, provided detailed information about various initiatives taken by the college to make students industry-ready, apart from academic activities. This included details about the previous semester's results, current semester test performance, internal assessment reports, and students' attendance. Later, Dr. Smital Patil, Dean of International Relations and Higher Education, discussed opportunities and procedures for higher education abroad, as well as the importance of learning Japanese and German languages. She also informed parents about the various facilities provided by the college for studying abroad and foreign language learning. Dr. Nitin Shinde presented an audiovisual overview of the college and department’s progress so far, covering aspects such as NAAC accreditation, consistent admissions, rising placement trends, the Local Guardian Scheme, updated curriculum design and implementation, and skill-enhancement programs for students from the first year onwards, focusing on presentation and interview skills. Prof. Kailas Deore provided in-depth information to parents about the placement process, various companies' requirements, and the efforts expected from students. The success of the event was ensured by the efforts of Prof. Santosh Bhandare and his colleagues. Parents, including Mr. Anil Patil, Mr. Manoj Borgavkar, and Mr. Nitin Chauk, expressed their satisfaction with the college’s efforts at all levels and urged that such meetings be held frequently in the future.
