1) Invitation for Applications for Institute Level Round(s) For the Academic Year 2024-25 against CAP Vacancies and Institute Level Seats

R. C. Patel Institute of Technology (RCPIT), Shirpur, invites applications from eligible and registered candidates on State CET Cell with Application ID, for the Institute Level Round(s) for the First Year and Direct Second Year Courses in Engineering/Technology (B. Tech.) for the academic year 2024-25. This round(s) will be conducted for the vacancies against the CAP Rounds (Centralized Admission Process) as well as the Institute Level Quota, and will be conducted in accordance with Clause 13 (Page 79) of the Information Brochure 2024-25 published by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra State.

1.1)  Eligibility

Only candidates who have registered through the CET portal and verified their applications through Scrutiny Centres (SC) with a valid registration number (Application ID) by the State Common Entrance Test Cell (SC) are eligible to apply for participation in the Institute Level Round. Applications should be submitted offline, in person.

Eligible candidates are required to submit their applications in person during above period (10AM to 05:00 AM), along with the necessary documents to Admission Committee, Registrar Office situated in the campus in order to participate in the round.

1.2)  Required Documents with Application submission
Candidates should have copies of the following documents:

    • Receipt cum Acknowledgment issued by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra verified by Scrutiny Centre (SC) mentioned application ID, qualifying marks, merit score etc.
    • Receipt of Admission (if applicable) issued by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra, if the candidate is already admitted elsewhere.

2) Steps involved in IL Round(s) and Instructions for Candidates Participating in IL Round(s)

2.1) Provisional Merit

Provisional merit list for the applications received for IL Rounds will prepared strictly on Merit and as per the guidelines of Admission Competent Authority.

    • Display of Provisional Merit List on Institute Website and Notice Boards:

2.2) Reporting Guidelines

      • Candidates whose name appeared in the provisional merit list shall report to the Institute with required original documents and prescribed fee.

 

    • Reporting to the Institute whose names appeared in Provisional Merit List:

Oct 11, 2024 (10AM)

 

      • Candidates must report to the Registrar Office of RCPIT, situated at the Ground Floor at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time for institute level round for the admission with required original documents and prescribed fee.

2.3) Admission Process

    • Candidates will be called in order of their merit, as per the provisional merit list displayed on the notice board and the institute's website.
    • Candidates who are absent or unprepared with the required documents when called will forfeit their claim to a seat, and the next candidate in merit will be considered.
    • Candidates with higher merit scores who report late will only be considered for available seats at the time of their arrival, with priority given over candidates with lower merit who are present.

 

2.4) Document Verification and Seat Confirmation

  • Candidates must present all original applicable documents during verification.
  • Seat confirmation is subject to full payment of the admission fee via Demand Draft in the name of ‘R. C. Patel Institute of Technology’ payable at Shirpur or through the RCPIT online payment gateway immediately upon acceptance of the seat. Part payments, cash, or cheque payments will not be accepted.

2.6) Final Admission Confirmation

    • Upon seat allotment and payment of fees, candidates must submit the required original documents. If the candidate is already admitted elsewhere, then he/she will be given time to submit the required documents.
    • Final confirmation will be processed through the State CET Cell portal, and candidates will receive an Admission Confirmation Letter issued by the State CET Cell through RCPIT’s institute login.
    • Candidates will also receive an official Fee Receipt and Document Submission Receipt.

All candidates listed in the Provisional Merit List should report to the Registrar Office by earlier 30 mins before 10:00 AM.

Seat allotment will proceed based on the Provisional merit list.

Verification of original documents and submission of self-attested copies.

Payment of Institute Admission Fees.

Submission of original documents by candidates.

Confirmation of the allotted seat on the State CET Cell portal.

Issue of Admission Confirmation Letter, Fee Receipt, and Original Document Submission Receipt.

If seats remain vacant or additional vacancies arise due to cancellations, the process will repeat on subsequent days. Candidates should check the RCPIT website regularly for updates.

(In case of delays / extension in activities (if any), candidates are advised to see notice boards and web site of RCPIT. In such a cases the process will continue on subsequent days. For further details and updates, candidates are advised to regularly visit the RCPIT website: www.rcpit.ac.in.)

4)  Important Note

    1. If seats remain vacant after IL Round-I conducted as per above schedule or additional vacancies arise due to cancellations, additional IL Rounds (if required) will be conducted on subsequent days until all vacancies are filled before new cut-off date.
    2. Eligible Candidates are requested to Visit Institute Website / see Notice Boards for regular updates for additional IL Rounds (if any)
