Final Year Electrical Engineering Students Visit 500 MW Thermal Power Plant in Deepnagar, Bhusawal

Final-year Electrical Engineering students recently visited the 500 MW Thermal Power Plant in Deepnagar, Bhusawal, as part of their academic curriculum. This visit provided a valuable opportunity for students to observe the power generation process in a real industrial setting, complementing their classroom studies with practical experience.

During the visit, students explored key areas of the plant, including the boiler, turbine, and generator sections. Plant engineers conducted interactive sessions, explaining how electricity is generated, managed, and transmitted. The students were particularly interested in learning about the plant's control systems, safety protocols, and the challenges of operating a large-scale thermal power station.

This hands-on exposure helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, giving students a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in power generation. The visit was a significant learning experience, inspiring many students to consider careers in the energy and power sectors.

Overall, the industrial visit was a valuable addition to the academic journey of the students, equipping them with real-world insights and enhancing their technical knowledge.


Student PLACEMENTS TILL DATE

The primary objective of college placement programs is to facilitate the transition of students from academic environments to professional careers by assisting them in securing employment opportunities commensurate with their skills, interests, and qualifications. Notably, several reputable companies conducted recruitment drives at our campus to fulfill this aim.

Out of a total of 37 eligible students, 18 students successfully obtained placement offers. Among these placements:

  • Two students, namely Saurav Koli and Vishal Beldar, secured positions at Zydus Lifesciences Limited with a package of 3.8 LPA.
  • One student, Sunil Khatal, was placed in Fox Solutions Private Limited with a package of 5.47 LPA.
  • Seven students, namely Harshal Patil, Aryan Jadhav, Bhavesh Rajput, Sunil Wankhede, Jayesh Chaudhari, Darshan Mali, and Yogesh Mali, received offers from Mungi Engineers Pvt. Ltd. with a package of 2.5 LPA each.
  • Two students, Vaibhavi Jamadar and Gaurav Girase, secured positions at CapitalVia Global Research Limited with a package of 3.5 LPA.
  • One student, Sarang Patil, obtained a placement at Ambetronics Engineers Pvt Ltd with a package of 2.85 LPA.
  • One student, Kalyani Patil, secured a position at FinoFY Technologies Private Limited with a package of 3.5 LPA.
  • Four students, Yash Chaudhari, Anand Jadhav, Yogendra Sonawane, and Shubham Bhoi, received offers from Gartech Equipment, Pune, with a package of 2.5 LPA each.

These placements exemplify the effectiveness of the college's placement initiatives in facilitating students' entry into the professional workforce, thereby contributing to their career advancement and the fulfillment of organizational goals.


Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) Certification Program

Bajaj Auto Ltd. has recently launched BEST, its flagship corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at providing training in the latest and emerging technologies used in the manufacturing industry to engineers and diploma holders. Bajaj has collaborated with Symbiosis International University to establish the BEST center at Symbiosis Institute of Technology (SIT) in Pune. The BEST center in Pune is equipped with high-quality infrastructure, state-of-the-art equipment sourced globally, and the best faculty to train engineers and diploma holders in advanced manufacturing skills. Twelve students from the Department of Electrical Engineering have been selected for the Bajaj Engineering Skills Training (BEST) Certification Program.


FINAL YEAR STUDENT RESULT - ODD SEMESTER EXAMINATION (2023-24)

In the odd semester examination of the academic year 2023-24, a total of 37 students from the Final Year B.Tech program participated. Among them, 37 students successfully passed the examination. The distribution of SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) among the passed students is as follows: 15 students attained an SGPA between 8.00 to 8.99, 16 students obtained an SGPA between 7.00 to 7.99, 05 students scored an SGPA between 6.00 to 6.99, and 01 students received an SGPA between 5.00 to 5.99. Additionally, The overall pass percentage for the examination was recorded at 100%.

Furthermore, the individual subject-wise performance of faculty members is as follows: Mr. B. P. Patil achieved a pass percentage of 100% for the SGP subject, Mr. Y. K. Kirange attained a pass percentage of 100% for the EDC subject, Mr. K. J. Gandhi received a pass percentage of 100% for the PSOC subject, Mr. N. R. Ansari obtained a pass percentage of 100% for the RM subject.


THIRD YEAR STUDENT RESULT - ODD SEMESTER EXAMINATION (2023-24)

In the odd semester examination of the academic year 2023-24, a total of 53 students from the T.Y. B.Tech program participated. Among them, 51 students successfully passed the examination. The distribution of SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) among the passed students is as follows: 13 students attained an SGPA between 8.00 to 8.99, 18 students obtained an SGPA between 7.00 to 7.99, 14 students scored an SGPA between 6.00 to 6.99, and 6 students received an SGPA between 5.00 to 5.99. Additionally, 2 students secured an SGPA between 0.00 to 4.99. The overall pass percentage for the examination was recorded at 96.23%.

Furthermore, the individual subject-wise performance of faculty members is as follows: Mr. S. Y. Sayais achieved a pass percentage of 100% for the EM/C-II subject, Mr. R. S. Patil attained a pass percentage of 98.11% for the PSA subject, Mr. N. S. Mahajan received a pass percentage of 96.22% for the EME subject, Mr. B.P. Patil obtained a pass percentage of 100% for the ETU subject, and Mr. V. V. Patel secured a pass percentage of 100% for the IOT subject.


SECOND YEAR STUDENT RESULT - odd semester examination (2023-24)

In the odd semester examination of the academic year 2023-24, a total of 65 students from the S.Y. B.Tech program participated. Among them, 46 students successfully passed the examination. The distribution of SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) among the passed students is as follows: 1 student achieved an SGPA between 9.00 to 10.00, 5 students attained an SGPA between 8.00 to 8.99, 7 students obtained an SGPA between 7.00 to 7.99, 13 students scored an SGPA between 6.00 to 6.99, and 13 students received an SGPA between 5.00 to 5.99. Additionally, 26 students secured an SGPA between 0.00 to 4.99. The overall pass percentage for the examination was recorded at 70.76%.

Furthermore, the individual subject-wise performance of faculty members is as follows: Mr. J. S. Shaikh achieved a pass percentage of 52.30% for the EM-III subject, Mr. Nadeem Akhtar attained a pass percentage of 73.84% for the ECT subject, Dr. V.S. Patil received a pass percentage of 92.30% for the AE subject, Mr. K.J. Gandhi obtained a pass percentage of 95.38% for the EM&I subject, and Mr. R.S. Patil secured a pass percentage of 80% for the EEGS subject.


Third Rank in Pathfinder competition

Badgujar Yukta Sunil (Second Year Electrical) and her Team representing RCPIT as a Team FORTRANS at SVNIT, Surat, had achieved Third Rank in Pathfinder competition of Mindbend 2K24 held at SVNIT, Surat.


Second prize in Waste to Watt

Yukta Sunil Badgujar and Vaishnvi Vilas Patil achieved Second prize in Waste to Watt under Converges'24 held at R. C. Patel Institute of Technology, Shirpur, on 17/02/2024.

Jaykumar Girase from Second Year Electrical Engineering achieved second prize in the robo race held by KCES Engineering and Management College, Jalgaon.

Alumni Talk on Exploring PLC Drives and SCADA

On the 18th of March 2024, the Department of Electrical Engineering organized an alumni talk on "Exploring PLC Drives and SCADA" to inform, inspire, and empower individuals keen on pursuing a career in data engineering. Gaurav Wani, an Automation & Electrical Engineer at Fox Solutions in Nashik, presented the talk. The aim of the talk is to create a valuable learning experience that empowers students to excel in their careers, leverage emerging technologies, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of PLC drives and SCADA systems.


Alumni Talk on Recent Trends in Electrical Automation (PLC & Robotics)

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur, organized an Alumni Talk on "Recent Trends in Electrical Automation (PLC & Robotics)" on 27th February 2024 by Mr. Krushna Nimba Baviskar. The alumni talk on Recent Trends in Electrical Automation (PLC & Robotics) aims to provide insights into the latest advancements in PLC and robotics technology, fostering knowledge exchange and networking and inspiring current students to explore innovative applications and career opportunities in the field.

The Sustainable Energy Solutions Hackathon-2023

The Sustainable Energy Solutions Hackathon-2023, organized by Energy Club of Department of Electrical Engineering on October 26th and 27th, 2023, brought together 50 participants from diverse interdisciplinary fields. The event aimed to foster innovation and collaboration in developing sustainable energy solutions. Ten teams were formed, engaging in intensive coding and prototyping sessions under the guidance of experts.On October 26th and 27th, teams presented their innovative solutions, competing for recognition and awards. The hackathon successfully yielded ten impactful projects.

 


Alumni talk on

On the 20th of February 2024, the Department of Electrical Engineering organized an alumni talk on "scope of data engineers" to inform, inspire, and empower individuals keen on pursuing a career in data engineering. Tushar Sagar Sharma, a Data Engineer at Datametica in Pune, presented the talk. The talk focused on highlighting the scope, opportunities, and pathways within the field of data engineering, providing valuable insights and guidance to those interested in this exciting and rapidly growing field.


Expert talk on

The Department of Electrical Engineering has recently organized a highly informative and engaging expert talk on "Automation Solution of Wipro PARI", which took place on February 15th, 2024. The event featured two distinguished speakers, namely Mr. Ajit Kulkarni, the Head of Field Service at Wipro PARI, and Mr. Kunal Jadhav, the HR Manager of Recruitment. The main objective of this talk was to provide students with an in-depth understanding of Wipro PARI's cutting-edge automation solution, while also inspiring and motivating them. 


Converges'24 -

The Department of Electrical Engineering recently participated in the "Converges'24" national-level technical event hosted by the R. C. Patel Institute of Technology, Shirpur. As a part of this event, the students of the electrical engineering department organized two fascinating events - "Waste to Watt" and "Electrotoy". These events aimed to showcase innovative solutions for waste management and introduce the participants to the world of electrical toys. The event was a grand success and received an overwhelming response from the students and faculty alike.


4 DAYS HANDS ON PRACTICE ELECTRONICS WORKSHOP

A four-day "Industrial Approach in Electrical & Electronics" workshop was organized to impart practical experience and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its application. The workshop, held from 01/09/2023 to 04/09/2023, was conducted by Mr. Sanjay Chaudhari of the Electronics Study Centre, Nashik. Attendees gained invaluable hands-on experience, real-world insights, and skills necessary for success in the industrial landscape.


Alumni Talk on Microservices architecture design using java springboot

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur organized an Alumni Talk on "Microservices architecture design using java springboot" on 26th August 2023 by Mr. Jayraj Pawar. The objective of an alumni talk is to have a comprehensive understanding of microservices architecture, its implementation using Java Spring Boot, and its significance in the contemporary software development landscape.


HOD sir Welcomes First-Year Students with Orientation Session

As a gracious gesture to the newest academic community members, Dr. V. S. Patil, the Head of the Department (HOD), hosted an orientation session for first-year students in the Electrical Department.

The primary objective of the session was to acquaint the students with the department's curriculum, facilities, and academic standards. Throughout the session, the HOD sir emphasized the significance of academic excellence and encouraged the students to pursue their best throughout their educational journey.

They also highlighted essential resources that students can utilize to assist them in their studies, such as library facilities, research opportunities, and academic support services.


CAMPUS PLACEMENT 2022-23

The goal of college placement is to connect students with prospective employers and facilitate the transition from academic life to professional careers. Prof. Vinitkumar Vasantbhai Patel is works as Electrical Department Placement Coordinator.

In 2022-23, T & P cell gave a very good opportunity to the students. In the current academic year, 49 students from final-year electrical engineering students have got placement offer in different Companies like Atos, Clover, Infosys, etc.

Among these 49 placements, 40 students got unique offers, and 9 got multiple offers. This year students got maximum package of 7 LPA, average package of 3 LPA, and minimum package of 1.2 LPA.

out of 49 placement offers, students got 20 offers from IT sector, 15 offers from core industries, and 14 offers from others.

Maharashtra Din 2023

Maharashtra Din, also known as Maharashtra Day, is celebrated on May 1st every year. It is a significant day for the state of Maharashtra. Maharashtra Day commemorates the formation of the state of Maharashtra, which occurred on May 1, 1960.

RCPIT had arraanged Maharashtra Din as Traditional Day. Staff and Students Electrical Department actively celebtrated Maharashtra Din.


Vihangam

RCPIT has a club named "Samarpan." This club organizes different activities in the Institute. Smarpan club initiated an activity called " Vihangam - ek kadam pakshiyo ki aur" to feed water to the birds on 25th April 2023. Chaudhari Sejal and Chaudhari Dimpal, from third-year electrical engineering, are members of this team.


Converges'23 - IDEATHON

RCPIT had arraanged converges'23 on 25th February 2023. In which Electrical Department, Students arranged an activity, "IDEATHON," in which participants presented a poster on different innovative ideas. Many Participants from different institutes participated in IDEATHON. Prof. Nilesh Mahajan was the coordinator of IDEATHON. Kalyani Chaudhari, Salunkhe Shweta from Third year electrical engineering actively cordinated with first year electrical enginnering students to make this event successful.

Alumni Talk on Current market scenario and requirements of DevOps engineer

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur organized an Alumni Talk on "Current market scenario and requirements of DevOps engineer" on 18th March 2023 by Mr. Shivkumar Chaudhari. The objective of an alumni talk on the current market scenario and requirements of a DevOps engineer would typically be to provide valuable insights and guidance to current students or aspiring professionals who are interested in pursuing a career in DevOps. The talk aims to inform and educate the audience about the current state of the job market for DevOps engineers and the skills and qualifications that are in demand. 60 students attended the talk and participated in interaction, with expert.

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur organized an Alumni talk on “Opportunities of electrical engineering software industry” on 26th November 2022 by Mr. Tushar Vikas Patil. The objective of an alumni talk on the opportunities of the electrical engineering software industry is to provide current students or recent graduates with insights and information about the potential career paths, growth prospects, and opportunities available in the field. The talk aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry by connecting students with successful alumni who have established themselves in the electrical engineering software industry.


Alumni Talk on Importance of Curricular and Extracurricular” Activities in Students' growth

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur organized an Alumni Talk on "Importance of Curricular and Extracurricular” Activities in Students' growth." on 16th February 2022 by Mr. Darshan Borse. The objective of an alumni talk on the importance of curricular and extracurricular activities in students' growth is to highlight the significant role these activities play in shaping a well-rounded education and personal development. The talk aims to emphasize the benefits of both curricular and extracurricular activities and how they contribute to the holistic growth of students. 55 students attended the talk and participated in interaction, with expert.

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur organized an Alumni Talk on "Entrepreneurship Development-Idea generation, planning and company formation in online mode." on 26th November 2022 by Mr. Shubham Sugandhi. The objective of an alumni talk on Entrepreneurship Development with a focus on idea generation, planning, and company formation in an online mode can be to inspire and educate students about the entrepreneurial journey, provide practical insights and guidance, and empower them to pursue their own entrepreneurial ventures.


Expert Talk on Basics of Energy conservation and Audit

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur organized an Expert talk on “Basics of Energy conservation and Audit” on 03rd November 2022 by Dr. Sanjay Khot. The objective of an expert talk on the basics of energy conservation and audit is to educate the students about the importance of conserving energy and implementing energy audits in various settings. The talk aims to provide a clear understanding of energy conservation principles, techniques, and strategies, while also highlighting the benefits and impact of energy audits. 144 students attended the talk and participated in interaction, with expert.


CAMPUS PLACEMENT 2021-22

The goal of college placement is to connect students with prospective employers and facilitate the transition from academic life to professional careers. Prof. Vinitkumar Vasantbhai Patel is works as Electrical Department Placement Coordinator.

In 2021-22, T & P cell gave a very good opportunity to the students.In the academic year, 82 students from final-year electrical engineering students have got placement offer in different Companies like TCS, Atos, Clover, Infosys, Capgemini etc.Among these 82 placement offers, many students got multiple offers.

This year students got maximum package of 19.14 LPA, average package of 3.6 LPA, and minimum package of 1.2 LPA.

out of 82 placement offers, students got 69 offers from IT sector, 6 offers from core industries, and 7 offers from others.

Yoga Day

International Yoga Day, celebrated annually on June 21st, is an occasion that highlights the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being. This day serves as a reminder of the numerous benefits that yoga offers to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. With its roots in ancient Indian traditions, yoga has gained global recognition for its ability to enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and inner harmony.

RCPIT also organised Yoga Day. Dr. V. S. Patil sir, HOD, Electrical engineering Department guided everyone by performing yoga.


Traditional Day -  Maharashtra Din

Maharashtra Din, also known as Maharashtra Day, is celebrated on May 1st every year. It is a significant day for the state of Maharashtra. Maharashtra Day commemorates the formation of the state of Maharashtra, which occurred on May 1, 1960.

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur organized an expert Talk on "Carrier in Automation Field” on 12th April 2022 by Vivek Vishnu Sardal. The objectives of an expert talk on Carrier in Automation Field are Awareness, Knowledge sharing, Career exploration, Skill development, Industry insights. Inshort, the objectives of an expert talk on a career in the automation field are to inform, inspire, and guide individuals interested in pursuing a career in this rapidly growing and transformative industry. 55 students attended the talk and participated in interaction, with expert.


Expert Talk on Robot/ Industrial Robot & PLC Automation

Electrical Engineering Department, RCPIT, Shirpur organized an Expert talk on “Robot/ Industrial Robot &PLC Automation” on 22nd March 2022 by DSaurabh Ahelleya. The objectives of an expert talk on robot/industrial robot and PLC automation is Education and Awareness, Industry-specific Applications,Implementation Challenges and Solutions, Future Implications and Opportunities. Overall, the objectives of an expert talk on robot/industrial robot and PLC automation are to educate, inform, inspire, and provide practical insights for students interested in understanding and leveraging automation technology. 106 students attended the talk and participated in interaction, with expert.

The goal of college placement is to connect students with prospective employers and facilitate the transition from academic life to professional careers. Prof. Vinitkumar Vasantbhai Patel is works as Electrical Department Placement Coordinator.

In 2020-21, T & P cell gave a very good opportunity to the students. In the academic year, 69 students from final-year electrical engineering students have got placement offer in different Companies like TCS, Atos, Clover, Infosys, Capgemini etc. Among these 69 placement offers, many students got multiple offers.This year students got maximum package of 7 LPA, average package of 2.84 LPA, and minimum package of 1.2 LPA.

out of 69 placement offers, students got 43 offers from IT sector, 17 offers from core industries, and 9 offers from others.
